Chalkboard RoundUp with Unique ideas
Chalkboard roundup to help with ideas for your empty space that needs something!
That happens to me all the time. Of course, sometimes that empty space is my belly and I need ice cream.
This is a DIY home decor blog, so no ice cream for now.
If there’s one thing that fits in almost any space, it’s a chalkboard. They hang on the wall, stand easel like on their own. make an old frame gorgeous or take on their own shape.

Easel Chalkboards
I made this several years ago and haven’t updated the post, but the idea is so easy. Use two chalkboards the same size and drill holes along the top edge. Then “sew” burlap ribbon through the holes. Open the bottom and stand as a chalkboard easel. I also added a spindle to the top edge.
I made another chalkboard easel for our clubhouse.
This baby crib chalkboard was used for a local vintage event.
Shaped & Unique Chalkboards
Years ago, I made and sold home decor to local shops. Shaped chalkboards were always a hit. This swimsuit chalkboard is the only one I’ve made for the website.
This unique sliding chalkboard idea is tons of fun. You lift the spindle handle to reveal the message in the window.
