Easy DIY Christmas Gifts
It’s that wonderful magical time of year when you’re rushing around and getting…
dizzy!
There’s half a tree sitting in the corner waiting for ornaments and the rest of the tree. Yes, I was on Periscope and shared my half a tree without the top section! Thank you everyone for understanding. 🙂
Then there’s gifts!
Here’s where I can help. 🙂

Here are steps for a DIY project perfect for holding rings next to the sink.
List of Supplies
Piece of board {mine is 5 1/2 inches wide by 7 inches long}
Paint in any color plus paint for lettering
Two paintbrushes one for the board and one for lettering
A thrift store ladle
Drill with 1/8″ bit
Screw
Screwdriver
Sawtooth hanger
Printable lettering {you can download my lettering here}
Freezer paper {you can order yours on Amazon here}
Steps
Paint the board and add the sawtooth hanger.
Print the lettering or use your own on the freezer paper. Place the lettering ink side down on board and rub with a craft stick to transfer the letters.
Then get comfy in a big chair {it helps} and paint over the ink. This is not necessary if you like the look of the ink transfer.
Next drill a hole in the handle of the ladle. My ladle was very plain…so I painted the handle with black. If your ladle is lovely with wonderful detail…drill the hole down the handle a bit.
Then add the ladle using a small screw.
My remember my grandmother and aunts putting their rings on the kitchen window sill before starting to “worsh” dishes. A ladle hanging next to the sink would have been perfect! I miss grandma.

Now it get my tree finished. 😕
