Easy Breezy March Tip
The easy breezy March tip is so simple and perfect timing for the breezy days of March.
Tired of the picnic tablecloth blowing over the potato salad?
Using four binder clips and four 10 inch pieces of wired ribbon fixes the problem.
I find this works better that the weighted clips because it pulls the tablecloth snug up under the table edge.
I thread one side of the wired ribbon into one side of the binder clip like shown above.
Then do the same on the other side leaving the black part of the binder clip in the middle of the ribbon.
In each of the four corners, gather the tablecloth just under the table edge and clip with the binder.
Then clip the threaded silver thingys together. You will still be able to see a piece of the silver clip, so….
fold the wired ribbon over the silver and let it hang down.
Continue doing each of the four corners pulling the tablecloth snug.
Since I tend to like simple, I like the ribbons at each corner. The ribbons could be longer to reach the floor.
Very dramatic!
Or with a hot glue gun you can add a large bow to the clip.
On our front porch, I added four raffia bows left long and a few silk flowers. This is a round table.
Here are more silks and raffia wrapped tight and hot glued to the clips.
But I’m a simple girl and love just using ribbon.
Oh, usually burlap ribbon!
