Household Tips Series 3
Welcome to household tips series 3! Way back in January I decided to to a 30 day series on household tips and post only on Country Design Style’s Facebook page. This added about 20% new facebook followers to my small group of followers. Woot, woot!
Since January is long gone I decided to share the household tips series here each Friday. Today is the third in the series. You can see the first series here and second here.
Now onto the next series. I have 3 sizes of tin cans I keep in the kitchen to hold plastic food bags while pouring or even dropping in strawberries.
Did you know a spray from a store bought spray bottle fits the large bottle of peroxide perfectly? I like to clean with white vinegar and peroxide.
I readjusted my freezer shelves so I have one shelf that is very narrow and my life has never been the same! Really!
Those food freezer storage bags lay flat until frozen then I move the bag to a larger shelf and store like books. I even started writing along the edge of the bag to easily read the contents.
Do this! It’s a life changer!
This is another life changer but it’s also a learning process. Learn to use a squeegee. I’ve been using a squeegee for 15 years and although you will not see me hanging from a skyscraper any day soon, not only because of the height but my window cleaning squeegee abilities, I do okay for around our house!
We have a German Shepherd and a glass front door. Enough said!
I can clean our front door, two sliding doors, and two large floor mirrors in 10 minutes. When I’m in the mind to! 🙂
I may lose some of you on this one. Ironed pillowcases! Yes, once a week I iron 5 pillowcase for Mike and I. Mike likes three pillows. Again it takes only about 10 minutes. If I have a choice, clean windows and mirrors or ironed pillowcases, I go with ironed pillowcases every time. I add lavender to the stray water bottle.
My pillows are done for this week so I guess I go clean the windows and mirrors.
Let me know if you try any of these tips and how they work for you in comments below. Love to hear from readers!
