Transfer image to wood
I’m using the technique of transfer image on wood to make my heart go pitter-pat!
What are you drawn to in home decor?
When you flip the pages of your favorite home magazine is there a color you’re enchanted with?
Is there a pattern that makes your heart go pitter-pat?
For me, it’s dark. Dark floral. Black floral.
Strange, right?

There’s a video I made showing how fast the transfer image on wood is to do. Note the video is sped up to 20%. Plus a download of the scrolls and leaves I made for the transfer image is below too.

This is the finished project with black scrolls and leaves transferred on the old board. The cutouts are where the keys were mounted.
I gathered other black florals to decorate the mantel.
Along with other black and white…stuff.
I wish I could always work that fast! But you can see just how easy the transfer works.
I use freezer paper to do most of my image transfers. This is a link to the paper I use.

and another with the scrap wood mantel.

Have you ever walked into Pottery Barn and been drawn to a small vase in you favorite color, or a pillow in a special pattern? For me, it’s black florals. Yep, I even have shirts with black florals!

I feel the same way about Brown florals. I love to collect brown transfer ware for that reason.
Pam, it’s interesting that we’re drawn to florals in such basic colors. I have four brown transferware plates that I sometimes mix in with my black florals too. I also made napkins in brown toile to go with the plates. 🙂
Great minds think alike. Lol
