Orange Cherry Bomb

Orange cherry bomb is a cool drink made up with enough test sips to get us giggling.

It’s not as easy as you think it would be to make up a drink. I had my sister’s help this weekend and together I think we got it.

Ingredients for orange cherry bombs.

We started with the idea of the cherry drink. Then search what pairs with cherry. Orange! We also wanted it pretty and our glasses rimmed with something!

Here’s the ingredient list.

  • Orange juice
  • Cherry vodka
  • Orange
  • Sprinkling sugar
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Simple syrup
  • Cool whip
  • Marshmallow cream

We made the bomb cloud by mixing the whipped topping with marshmallow cream. Use a hand-held mixer or at the very least, a whisk to breakdown the sticky marshmallow. Okay, go ahead and taste a big spoon full, we’ll wait!

Good isn’t it?!?!

Clear stemmed glass with chunky sugar on the rim.

Next, rim the glasses with orange for the sticky and sugar for the sparkle. Cut a slice of orange and rub across the top of the glass. Then before the orange dries, dip in a small saucer of sprinkling sugar. I like to use a saucer to hold whatever I’m rimming glasses. You can pour it in the outer circle of the saucer.

Add 6 ounces of orange juice to the glass and a shot of cherry vodka. Stir and add a couple of ice cubes. This was the point that we thought, “we should have blended the juice, vodka and ice cubes.!”

The cherry bombs finished and ready to sip.

Now it’s time for the bomb cloud.

Add a big dollop of the marshmallow whipped cream and add a cherry on top. Sip or gulp, your choice.

The sprinkling sugar adds a bit more sweetness to the orange juice. You can make these super easy wood coasters to hold your drinks.

Yum!
