June wreath that can hang around till the fourth
On the first Monday of each month this year, I’m using one grapevine wreath and redoing it to reflect the season or holiday. I’m redoing the wreath with things gathered around the house. This part was not actually in the plan to start with but I had noticed I wasn’t buying anything.
So now I got myself in a pickle and really challenging myself!
I did happen to check the calendar for next month and the first Monday is the 7th. So a fourth of July wreath next month would be too late. It’s Father’s day this month, so I decided to combine to two holidays in June’s wreath.
I lost my Dad November 27, 2010.
It still hurts.
He was my star and I know he’s still watching over me. Dad was in the Army and retired with 26 years. I’m proud of his military career and the love he held for the family.
I’m a daddy’s girl!
The simple step to create a June Wreath
…and let it hang around for the fourth.
For June Wreath I kept it simple.
I grabbed the star that was on the top of our spindle tree last year. You gotta click over to check that one out, go ahead I’ll wait!
The star is held in the middle by wedging it between the vines. I added burlap wired ribbon that I stamped rustic stars along with a potato.
Easy, fun and messy!
I hung a small photo of daddy from the hook on the bottom of the star. After Father’s day, I’ll remove the photo and just have a star wreath for the 4th.
You can check out each month’s wreaths below.
Check and see if I did buy anything for the wreaths so far! Let me know in comments
