July Beach Wreath
So, this year I had the idea to take a grapevine wreath and redo it each month inspired by the months season or holiday.
One wreath, twelve ways!
Since July 4th is gone on the 5th, I didn’t a mix of Father’s day and the 4th last month. I wanted time to enjoy it. You can see it here.
July Beach Wreath was also make with things found around the house.
I don’t remember planning to do all these wreaths without buying anything, but somewhere along the way…about February I added that to the challenge! :/
Starting with stripping burlap…once again, I made beach netting from a piece of burlap about 16 inches by 12.
Simply by pulling out two “burlap threads” between every 3 or 4 strands. Then turned it and did the same the other way.
I collected beach things from around the house and in closets. I found a little wooden beach chair and some sea shells. I didn’t want to hot glue the shells onto the wreath. Hummmm!!!!
I grabbed some hairpins and wrapped them with some of the burlap threads I had pulling outta the piece for the netting and wrapped hairpins.
They worked great to clip the sea shells in place.
Here’s close ups of the July beach wreath.
And here’s a photo without all the writing on it! 🙂
