Tips to Organize your Pantry
Here are some basic tips to organize your pantry.
We have a step in pantry. Actually it’s the area under the stairs. These tips are for any pantry area, large walk ins or small cabinets.
Shelves. You’re gonna need them. I put in basic pine wood shelves for about $60. The photo above is the weird molding made with sticks from the yard. I simply glued on short sticks lined up like little soldiers. I painted the wall behind the shelves a deep gray. All the other walls and ceiling are one of those 15 shades of white.
Baskets. Use different types of baskets to hold your goodies. Here is a picnic basket we use to hold bags of coffee. {we order coffee online through Cafe Britt…ten bags at a time}
Use large jars for more than flour and sugar. I stacked up cereal in this jar. A great website for jars is The Jar Store.
Use small stools to make a shelf. Our shelves quite high and by added a stool it opens rooms for dishes on top and below. Gotta find someplace for all these dishes we love…right?
Hang trays inside the pantry or on the back of the door.
Use our favorite….mason jars to hold staples. I use a grease pencil {a crayon works too} to write on the top what’s inside. It’s hard to tell the difference between corn starch and powdered milk!!
Wire basket are great to hold kitchen towels, those spice packet mixes, and anything else that won’t leak through the wires!
Old cookie jars add character and hold everything that fits through the top. Guess what’s in mine right now…nothing, we ate all the cookies:(
Hang aprons on a great hook inside your pantry or on the back of the door. Wear your aprons from time to time, you’ll feel so Leave it to Beaver!
Those beverage dispensers are great for parties, but take up a ton of space. I store packages of pasta in mine. The tops are wide enough to store anything that can’t get through the spout!
Chalkboards are charming and useful in the pantry. Again, if space is an issue hang it on the inside or outside of the pantry door.
Decorate your pantry like you would any room or closet. {I know my closets are a mess, but I’m working on them} In our pantry, I leaned a framed picture on one shelf with a decorative plate in front. Campbell’s soup is dear to us.
I also hung pine cones on twine. Just cause…and we live in a cabin.
There you have it. Is your pantry organized?

Hey there would you mind letting me know which web host you’re working with?
I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different web browsers and I must
say this blog loads a lot quicker then most. Can you suggest
a good hosting provider at a fair price? Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!
