Affordable Fall Wreaths that I Love

Affordable fall wreaths

Wreaths are crazy expensive to make.  Plus all the time to create one.  And then there are the piles of burlap dust, that one flower that won’t stick to ANYTHING.  Your fingertips no longer have prints from the hot glue gun!

Fall Wreaths under $50

Unless you’re thinking about robbing a bank, fingerprints are awesome.  How else do you turn on your phone!

So, I collected my favorite fall wreaths under $50 on Etsy.

You get the handmade look simply by opening the box.

I can’t make these wreaths for that price!

Plus I like turning on my phone. 😉

Our affordable wreath from the dollar store

This is wreath “like” and perfect for our black double front doors If your front door is dark or in an alcove you need lighter colors to see from the street. Our front doors are both dark and in an alcove. If I only hung the ribbon and streamers, you couldn’t see anything from the street. The pop of white dollar store leaves makes the ribbon pop.

The Steps to Make the Dollar Store Decor

  1. 6 Dollalr Store leaf shapes
  2. Wood Glue
  3. White Paint
  4. Paintbrush
  5. Clamps or cans of veggies to weigh down while the glue dries (what I used)

I dry brushed 6 dollar store wood leaf shapes with white paint. Then arrange them overlapping the leaves. I liked the tops or points of the leaves to all face out in a circle. Next, I glued two areas on each leaf to the other leaves. I added veggie cans on top till the glue dried.

The arrangement left a hole in the middle of the wreath. A perfect place to run the wires from the ribbon and then wrapped on the hooks on the doors. I do wire things down outside…we live in Oklahoma!

Check out this Pinterest reel to see how I made the ribbon.
