Creativity is important.  If you love being creative here’s a list of DIY projects every woman should create before she dies.

After reading Country Living’s post on 10 trips every woman should take before she dies I was inspired to create a twist on the idea.  Below are 10 DIY projects themed that every woman should create in her lifetime.  To help you I’ve given some suggestions, but let your imagination fly.

Passion

Passion project Create a project that feeds your passion. If you’re a passionate bird watcher, build a birdhouse. If baking is your passion create a shelf or wood crate to hold your most used spices.

Relaxing

Spend time on a relaxing project. A project that doesn’t have a time limit to finish. Gather supplies beforehand. Turn on your favorite music or show and relax. Knitting or painting a picture are two examples of relaxing projects in my mind. Find something that relaxes you. Oh, don’t worry about the outcome.

Solo

Create a project to complete by yourself. Plan a quiet afternoon in the workshop, craft area of in the kitchen. Create a project on your own. Stretch your abilities and try a new technique.

Heritage

Track your family history, create a family tree or create a project for your family. If you’re a passionate cook, cook an old family recipe.

Never tried

Pick a tool or project that you’ve never tried. From painting a picture to using a lathe to turn wood. Check local community school to learn a new skill.

Last minute

Pick a room and do a mini rearrangement. Toss together a last minute hostess gift.

Girlfriends Project

Gather your group of girlfriend and build a project together. Each of you will have strengths to increase the level of your project. Make sure the stronger drinks start after using the power tools.

An active DIY

Have you dreamed of building a playhouse? Building a larger project builds muscle lifting the long boards and hammering nails. If that idea is too active, make weights from plastic cartons, or sew ankle weights. Create a simple obstacle course for your dog in the backyard.

Road Trip DIY

Take a road trip to your favorite craft store instead of heading to the same craft store down the street. Plan a road trip to a large yard sale or vintage market.

Volunteer DIY

Help build a home for those in need through Habitat for Humanity. Build a lap tray or two to donate to a local senior center. Sew pet beds for the Humane Society.
