Home Tour Our Living Room
Today is the home tour and I’m giving a tour of our living room.
There’s been peeks of the living room along this blogging adventure, but not a real peek.
What can I get you to drink?
Wouldn’t that be fun if I could hand you a drink through your computer right now?
Entrance
Anyway, Here’s the entrance. The door ahead is a coat closet. Boring, but one cool thing about the closet is the light comes on when the door opens.
Hum, I guess it does!
What if the light is always on? It just a coat closet and I’ve never been inside with the door closed.
Be right back!
Aha! The light does go off. To the left of that coat closet with the magic, light is the powder room. The sink is “unique.”
Main living room area
This is the view as you step inside. Did I mention we live in a cabin? Up the stairs are two guest rooms with bathrooms and an area I’m using as a craft room. Plus a balcony with amazing views of the forest. The kitchen you can see on the left. A bit more left is the dining area.
Stone and copper mantel
Here’s the fireplace. You can see the stone wraps around to the front door. We use our industrial cart coffee table a ton. Usually with our feet on it. We are casual. My rustic box is sitting on the fireplace bench. The cable box is hidden in the white box. On this day, the Pottery Barn inspired by chandelier is sitting on the mantel.
If you head to the star and step around the mantel there’s an office for Mike.
Floorplan
Here’s a rough floor plan I did several years ago of the living room, dining area, and front porch.
The front porch is where we spent most of our time.
Log Beams
Here are the logs in our ceiling. I sure hope they stay up there!

Just love your home, our home is done in tongue & groove pine, so rustic, country ,dot, fits for me too. Love to see what other creative women do with homes with so much Wood!
Thank you Emily for stopping by our home! Yep, when we first moved in I bought a little bear holding a welcome sign, some faux pine trees, and red plaid throws for the living room. Then I remembered I don’t like “themed” decorating. So I gathered everything “cabin” and donated it to a thrift shop. I’m loving a brighter look. ~Jeanette
Love your home! So pretty, warm and welcoming!
