There’s so much happening lately I thought the best way to “keep” you informed and updated is with another “keeping” post.

“So what’s going on?”  You ask.

Then a fun and creative benefit for sheltered animals!  This one even includes a local event and an Instagram event that all readers can follow!

Fall is finally arriving in a creative themed tour starting next week!

Next, for the themed furniture tour, it’s two-tone time!  Whatever that might be???  Hum!

Plus, I’m going shopping at the Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market and I’m taking you with me through Instagram!

Best of DIY

Best of the Best of DIY!  This Friday will be a huge collection of DIY from Shabby Chic, Vintage, and Farmhouse styles.

A truck filled with re-purposed and DIY projects.

Well at least 27 websites full…plus…

it’s a link party!  That means more creative DIY bloggers will be adding their Best of DIY projects too!

What makes a Best of the Best DIY project?

One that’s simple to make, inexpensive and that makes you say, “Why didn’t I think of that!”

Thrift Benefit for Sheltered Animals
This next event is near and dear to my heart.

“Why?”  You ask.

Last year I got the idea of a Thrift Benefit for Sheltered Animals.

Yep, I’m the founder.

As an avid thrift shop shopper, I realized I was helping our little Humane Society when I shopped and when I donated.  All the proceeds go to support the shelter.  There are many animal rescues around the country that depend on the proceeds from thrift shops.  So why not gather a group of Hometalk DIY blogging friends and have everyone shop their local thrift shop that sponsors an animal rescue and then share our projects on a blog tour or link party.

Thrift Benefit Link Party

The second part of the event is the link party on October 14.  This gives time for the blogger to get those thrift shop projects sanded, painted, cut in half, glued and everything else to bring creative projects to the link party.  We also share stories of our animal families and/or stories of the animal rescues.

Mark your calendar for October 14 to be inspired and help sheltered animals. <3

Themed furniture makeovers

I’m had the incredible opportunity to join a group of amazing ladies doing furniture makeovers.  Each month there is a theme for the furniture.  This month it’s two-tone.  The theme is left to each bloggers interpretation.  Last month was decoupage.  After my decoupage…the ladies haven’t tossed me outta the group.

They are a keen group of ladies.
