3 unique beauty tips for women of a certain age!

Okay, I’m a DIY home blogger.

I don’t due beauty or fashion tips.

I do like to share tips, household, organization, decor, woodworking and home crafts.  But the other day as I was plucking hairs that now grow in places I never thought a girl would have hair, I realized I developed a cool tip.  Then I realized I have a couple of strange beauty tips that I’ve started as I get to that certain age!

Why is it that you start getting chin hairs at the age when you can see them??  I use a magnifying mirror with lights and still can’t see those wild hairs.  Then I found if I use a piece of white card stock and move it across my chinny chin chin, I could see those hair and easily pluck away.

I use the card from some makeup packaging.  Someday I will remember to grab a 3 by 5 card from my recipe box.

I have a pair of white, now dingy, Mr. Peanut gloves.  Any pair of white gloves will work for this tip if you don’t have Mr. Peanut gloves.  I found white gloves in the lotion section and this tip is like the idea of slathering up your hands with lotion and wearing the gloves over night.  Except I use apple cider vinegar.  Also works for your feet…but you will need socks!

This tip is best to only try when you’re sleeping alone!  The smell is unique, but the softness in the morning is a~m~a~z~i~n~g!

Before you put the bottle away, take a swig.  It helps if I’ve had a little lot whole lot to eat.

Oh, you maybe wondering why I have a pair of Mr. Peanut gloves.  I worked for a Nabisco snacking and Planters.  We had Mr. Peanut costumes with white gloves.  Many times I would wash the gloves before events and I somehow neglected to got one Mr. Peanut his gloves back.  So if you ever see Mr. Peanut without his gloves send him my way.

No!  I never did wear the Mr. Peanut costume!

I love to walk barefoot on the beach.  It’s great for exfoliating those dry cracked heels that form around mid-life.  Since we don’t live on the beach 🙁 I started using play box sand in a plastic tub.  A little march  in place in my “sand box” each night, plus some “vinegared” socks and my feet are as soft as a twenty year old.  Plus the march helps when I have a little lot whole lot to eat.  My tub is about 6 inches high and 18 by 22 inches long.  I can slide it under the bed.

If you have a cat in the house it might be a good idea to get a lid for your plastic tub!!

Ahhhh!  To be twenty again!  If you’re young and have no chin hairs, your hands are soft, and your heels are not cracked, remember these tips.  I still remember being young and seeing my mom’s friend pluck chin hairs and I thought there must be something wrong with her.  Now I’m there!
